Are you looking for a mountain retreat or romantic getaway? How about a place to reconnect with nature? At Ward Mountain, we have all this and more. Our privately owned property offers 500 acres of scenic mountains and wildernessin the Ouachitas. We have miles and miles of trails for exploring, hiking, mountain biking and four-wheeler riding. All four-wheeler customers must have proof of insurance and sign a liability waiver form.
With a one cabin accommodation, we are able to provide you with peace and privacy. The only visitors you will see are our mountain residents such as whitetail deer, turkeys , and the red-headed wood pecker.
Enjoy panoramic views from the mountaintops. Walk the trails through the lush green valleys and see the bubbling clear springs and creek. Hunt for crystals at the crystal mine. Then rest and relax in our cozy log cabin. A fully equipped kitchen makes for much smaller food expenses during your visit. Build a fire in the firepit at night and sit under the starry, starry sky.
Canoeing, kayaking, and swimming are just minutes away at the Cossatot River.
Gilham Lake is within a 15 minute drive and offers fishing, swimming, hiking, and boating.
